Michelle Bigler is widely recognized as an instrumental legal recruiter that goes beyond the job description to meet her client’s business objective and the best process to understand the candidate’s career goals. Since 1998 she has been a strategic consultant to both attorneys and legal employers throughout the hiring process, and an advisor on the trends in the legal industry.
Today more than ever before it is essential for law firms and companies to make strategic hiring decisions, and for individuals to make fulfilling career moves. It is widely known in the legal industry that the dramatic changes over the past decade will require attorneys and organizations to grapple with an evolving industry. Cloud-based law firms continue to grow in size and large brick and mortar firms are continuing to find creative ways to remain competitive. The challenge to make successful hiring decisions and successful lateral moves in this new age can be daunting.
As a trusted advisor, Michelle draws upon over 25 years of legal recruitment experience. She has served in multiple roles, which includes working as a recruiter for an international legal search firm and as a lateral recruiting manager for an Am Law 200 law firm, and now a business owner of a national search firm. Serving as a confidant to hundreds of attorneys, from senior partners with portable books of business to junior-level associate attorneys with a wide range of legal expertise, she has seen a fair share of unique scenarios and learned from each. Michelle has helped navigate countless high stakes negotiations bringing together a win-win for both her clients and candidates future.
Every organization has its own unique culture and every attorney has their own unique career path. Michelle takes the time to learn the nuances of each organization and the circumstances of the individual by asking intuitive questions and actively listening for the answers. When she conducts a search for a client she is not only filling a position, she is actively marketing the merits of her client’s workplace.
